Abstract

Terahertz imaging is considered as a promising detection and imaging method with wide application prospects in security inspection and counter-terrorism. It provides the possibility of higher-precision imaging thanks to its greater bandwidth. In this paper, we present a step frequency imaging radar with phase coherent reception. The proposed radar scheme works at 0.22THz with a bandwidth of 12GHz. The 2 dimensional (2D) experiment results show that the effective resolution is better than 2cm.
