Abstract

Range abnormalies are the main problems that affect the quality of range image in a real-time detecting system. Before other steps for the image segmentation as well as the target recognition, the image must be processed by filters to remove the noise. Therefore, any method must be taken to fight against the noise and protect the edge and details of the target. The ultimate goal of algorithms to achieve is to become fast and efficient in the complex image processing, especially in the pretreatment of the range image.
