Abstract

Reactive yellow X-RG and other two reactive dyes were adsorbed on strong base anion exchanger fiber. Adsorption behaviors were studied by using static and dynamic adsorption methods. Experimental results show that the adsorption behavior for reactive yellow X-RG obeys the Langmuir isotherm equation. Adsorption kinetics was mainly affected by expansion of the liquid surface. Adsorption rate of fiber is higher than resin and increase with the improving of temperature and pH. Dynamic adsorption capacity for reactive blue X-BR, reactive yellow X-RG and reactive red X-3B were increasing. HNO3-CH3OH solution can be used to regenerate the saturated fiber and the regenerate rate was 85.7%. Strong base anion ion exchanger fiber can be used as discoloring agent for wastewater of reactive dyes.
