Abstract

Line of sight (LOS) rate is required in accurate guidance way, whereas the strapdown seeker cannot measure the LOS rate directly. The unscented Kalman filter (UKF) is used in strapdown seeker since there is a strong nonlinearity in the state and measurement equations which is established by attitude and kinematic relationship between missile and target. In order to improve the robustness and precision of LOS rate estimation, an adaptive filtering algorithm is proposed in this paper to reasonably adjust the contribution of the dynamic model information. Simulation results indicate that compared to UKF, the adaptive UKF (AUKF) has a significant improvement in filtering accuracy.
