Abstract

Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) with bevel-gear-to-plane electrodes has been applied in plasma chemistry reactions. Characteristics of discharge images, voltage and current waveforms, and the power injection was experimentally studied. It was found that the current peak of micro discharges and the input power of DBD with bevel-gear-electrode were higher than DBD with plate-to-plate electrodes under the same discharge conditions. Thus bevel-gear-electrode discharge is found to be more effective in plasma chemistry reaction of liquid.
