Abstract

With the integrated consideration of turbocharged diesel engine and cooling system, the influence of environment on turbocharged diesel and cooling system was analyzed. A new modeling approach for turbocharged diesel engine and cooling system under coupling conditions was proposed. On the basis of GT-Suite code, the coupling model was established, and the model was verified by experimental data. The investigation on coupling model was conducted to obtain the changing laws of turbocharged diesel engine performance under different environment conditions, and was compared to the non-coupling model. Simulation results indicate that the influence of cooling system changes caused by environment variety on the turbocharged diesel engine could be revealed by coupling model. It also shows that the influence of environment on coupling model is more obvious than non-coupling model in typical regions, and the maximal difference of simulation results between them could reach 15%.
