Abstract

The purpose of this research is to illustrate the working principle of the voice coil motor (VCM) injector and to conduct a simulation study on the static electromagnetic characteristics of its internal voice coil motor based on Ansoft Maxwell. The selected parameters include current density parameters (ampere-turns) and related structural parameters of the VCM, including the thickness of yoke, the height of magnetizer, and the position of the coil within yoke chamber. The influence of different parameters on electromagnetic force is obtained and the reasons are explained in detail. This research is helpful to the multi-parameter optimization of the VCM injector, which will improve the electromagnetic conversion efficiency and enhance the electromagnetic force and response capability of the VCM injector.
