    Abstract

In terms of the relationship between the lower confidence limits of reliabilities for system and component, using the finite Markov chain imbedding approach, we analyze the sensitivity of reliability for a linear consecutive-k-out-of-n:F system, a circular consecutive-k-out-of-n:F system, and a k-within-consecutive-r-out-of- n:F system. The analysis is based on two parameters: the number of experiments and the number of failed components.
