Abstract
Back Projection (BP) algorithm has been widely used in SAR imaging, and SAR motion compensation largely determines the quality of SAR imaging. This paper first analyses the error source of SAR motion compensation, and then proposes a SAR motion compensation algorithm and its FPGA implementation for uniform acceleration motion model. The algorithm performs coordinate system conversion and interpolation processing on INS data and GPS data, and obtains the real-time radar antenna phase centre through recursion, thereby solving the problem of accurate compensation for SAR imaging of moving platforms. Finally, it is verified that the FPGA implementation of the algorithm can meet the requirements by comparing the results with the simulation results of MATLAB.
