A Robust Anti-Interference Synchronization for NC-OFDM Systems

Abstract

This paper proposes a robust anti-interference synchronization algorithm for a Non-Contiguous Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (NC-OFDM) system. Simulation analysis results in the SUI-5 channel show that the proposed algorithm can achieve accurate symbol timing estimation and carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimation under high narrow band interference (NBI) environment. Moreover, the complexity analysis shows that it has low computational complexity. In addition, the proposed method does not require prior knowledge of the sub-carriers occupied by NC-OFDM and the center frequency of the NBI, which provides high robustness.
