Abstract

In order to solve the problem that accelerometers' ideal configuration is impossible in gyroscope-free inertial measurement unit, a project based on proper accelerometer configuration which is easy to install is proposed in this paper. On the base of the above mentioned, the corresponding outputs model of accelerometer is established, and then a reasonable solution algorithm of acceleration and angular rate is chosen after fix-error compensation for its outputs. The configuration is feasible in engineering applications, at the same time, the computer simulation verified that it can avoid the installation error effectively and has the advantage of even higher acceleration and angular rate solution accuracy.
