A novel piezoelectric accelerometer with switch characteristic

Abstract

Aiming at the problem of signal aliasing phenomenon which was caused by rigid body overload signal and high frequency vibration signal on the penetration process when projectile having large slenderness ratio and high speed result in the difficulty to identify target, a new piezoelectric accelerometer with switch characteristic was developed. The mechanical model of the sensor was established and its characteristics were studied. The shock test to novel accelerometer and common accelerometer was done by using relative method. Results show that the developed new accelerometer can filter out the high frequency response significantly. It can be used in the smart fuze to take the place of conventional piezoelectric accelerometer in order to recognize the target accurately.
