Abstract

A novel multiband absorber comprising single-layer resistive frequency selective surface (FSS) is proposed in this letter. The resistive FSS layer constructed from resistive/low-conductivity treble-circuits in the form of symmetric crescent moon is backed by a thin FR-4 material. Simulation results show that the proposed absorber can provide a triple-band absorber at frequency 11.7(GHz), 14.8(GHz) and 16.6(GHz) with absorption rate of 99.96%, 99.99% and 99.97%, respectively. The electric field distribution and influence of several significant parameters are then illustrated to analysis the absorption principle of the proposed absorber.
