A Novel Multi-Resonant DC-DC Converter with Wide Input Voltage Range

Abstract

A novel multi-resonant converter is proposed in this article, which can achieve a wider range of voltage gain in a narrow operating frequency range. By adding the LC-series circuit parallel with the magnetizing inductor, the converter has a better voltage gain characteristic. The switches can realize zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) and the diodes can realize zero-current-switching (ZCS) naturally. The operating principles are introduced in this article. Finally, a 1-kW prototype is simulated and the results in given.
