Abstract

The main research of this paper is about a novel MMW (Millimeter Wave) bandpass filter design in one certain waveguide bend at Ka band aided by computer. This novel filter makes use of one waveguide bend that is used in communications and radar systems as connectors. The model of several inductive strips inserted in the middle of a waveguide parallel to the E plane is most suitable for waveguide bends' structure. The design of this filter is referring to the design theory of E-plane bandpass filter in one straight waveguide, while it is more complex because of the bend structure. Most calculation and analysis are aided by computer. The miniature design costs less space, improves the system character, and fulfils engineering application and mass production.
