Abstract

A new high-resolution airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system utilizing stepped frequency technique is investigated, and a novel high-resolution stepped frequency SAR signal processing method is proposed. The new algorithm combines the time-domain back-projection (BP) algorithm with the traditional stepped frequency signal processing method, and it solves the wide-beam and stepped frequency signal processing problems very well.
