Abstract

In allusion to mitigate the power fluctuation of PV generation system and further decrease the harmonic contents in the current injected into power grid, a novel grid-connecting inverter with energy storage capability for PV generation system is proposed. By means of storing and releasing electric energy generated by PV system, the fluctuation of the power injected into power grid from PV system is improved. The mathematical model of the output voltage is built and a new modulation algorithm is put forward to achieve the purpose of improving harmonic characteristics of output voltage. An experimental device is established. Storing and releasing the electric energy are both implemented. The experimental results show that the proposed inverter works properly and the proposed modulation strategy and control algorithm are feasible and available.
