Abstract

As the key technique in the direct sequence spread spectrum (DS-SS) receiver, the tracking of carrier and pseudo code has been receiving a growing attention. Based on the DS-SS signals already accomplished acquisition, this paper proposes a novel high dynamic DS-SS signal tracking method. In the proposed method, the carrier tracking is achieved via the phase locked loop (PLL) serially assisted by the frequency locked loop (FLL). As for the pseudo code tracking, the wide-correlated digital delay locked loop (DDLL) and the narrow-correlated DDLL are jointly employed. Furthermore, the precision of tracking velocity and range is especially analyzed. Simulation results demonstrate that in the circumstance of high dynamic and low CNR, the method has a very high tracking accuracy.
