Abstract

In the field of seismic exploration, most of useful information of seismic signals is involved in events of the seismic records. The information of events plays a very important role on determining the properties of underground media, interfacial depths, interfacial attitudes and oil-gas characteristics. Most of present methods for picking events do not take advantage of the motion laws of seismic waves. Based on the time-distance equation for the seismic reflected wave, a Kalman filtering system used for tracking the reflected event is constructed. And then the system model and filtering model for tracking the seismic event are given. The experimental results show that the proposed tracking system can work well in picking the seismic reflected event.
