A method of improving angle precision of conical scan LFMCW radar

Abstract

In conical scan LFMCW radar, the precision of angle measurement is limited when traditional processing method is used. And in order to use this conical scan LFMCW signal in closed-loop tracking radar, one must improve the angle precision. According to analyzing the causes of angle measurement error, a method of improving the angle measurement precision is presented. Simulation results are given to verify the validity of this method.
