Abstract
One dimension high range resolution profile (HRRP) based on spectral synthesis algorithm has the problem of gating lobes which can be regarded as false targets. Therefore, the spectral synthesis algorithm has not been widely used. This paper analyzed the generation mechanism of gating lobes and critical influence factors for gating lobes. A method, controlling gating lobes by changing the spectrum utilization ratio was proposed in this paper. Theory and simulation results showed the effectiveness of the proposed method.
