Abstract

The vibration mode of bridge is important in damage identifications. However, the traditional real-aperture radar does not have cross-range resolution and is impossible to identify targets of the same azimuth for modal analysis. MIMO radar, as a new radar system, can provide enhanced performance with its two-dimensional high-resolution and fast data acquisition capability. In this article, a MIMO-based modal acquisition method for vibrating bridge is proposed. Vibration frequency and amplitude in each pixel of vibration region are obtained through joint analysis of multiple radar imaging results. Vibration mode is acquired, and the effectiveness of the method is verified.
