Abstract

A new method to detect the dim small targets in single IR image based on higher-order cumulant is presented. Through the establishment of data model, the method based on the third order cumulant makes best use of the features that the small targets break out in a defined part, which improves the efficiency of detection while decreasing the influence of cloud clutter background in single frame.
