Abstract

Long-term integration is an effective method for detection and estimation. However, as the integration time increases, the problem of range and Doppler frequency migrations caused by high-dynamic motions spoil the overall detection performance. A low-complexity migration compensation method for a hybrid long-term integration consisting of intra-segment coherent integration and inter-segment non-coherent integration, which is easy-to-implement, is proposed, where the compensation is performed across non-coherent integration segments rather than within coherent integration, leading to significantly reduced complexity while the detection performance is still affordable. The proposed solution is more convenient for real-time implementation, especially for resource-limited platforms.
