Abstract

In response to the need of networking and location of networked munitions, a relative localization method was proposed based on token ring protocol and symmetrical double sides two way ranging. The method was an effective solution for the issues of low channel utilize rate and high energy consume concerned in the networked munitions area, and all nodes don't need time synchronization. The principle of symmetrical double sides two way ranging is simple and the location is more accurate eliminating the effect of inner time datum drift. Experimental results show that this method is effective to improve the networking time and the location accuracy of networked munitions.
