A Dual-Polarized Full-Corporate Waveguide Slot Array Antenna on W-Band

Abstract

In the context of the W-band outfield test system, antennas need high isolation to acquire target characteristic information at different latitudes and low sidelobe to realize high resolution. In order to meet above the two key requirements, this paper designs a new type of 2times 2 dual-polarized full-corporate waveguide slot array unit. This unit uses orthogonal-mode coupling structure to achieve dual-polarized feed function. It utilizes circular slot to radiate electromagnetic waves. Antenna array consists of array units to reach narrow beamwidth and low sidelobe level. The simulation results show that the VSWR is less than 1.5 in the band of 91-97GHz. The antenna array has a gain more than 28dB and 3dB-beamwidth is 7°. It has a sidelobe level less than -22dB and a cross-polarization level less than -55dB.
