Abstract

This paper present a substrate-integrated waveguide based CP antipodal tapered slot antenna (ATSA) for fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication. The proposed antenna comprises a dielectric substrate, a pair of grooves which is arranged in the substrate symmetrically and linearly, and two metal patch on top and bottom of the structure in order to improve the radiation performance. The simulation results show that the antenna axis ratio is below 3dB and the peak realized gain is more than 11dB over the two wideband range from 24.3GHz to 36GHz and 36.7GHz to 42.7GHz. The relative bandwidth is about 52.8%.
