Abstract

A method is proposed in this paper to correct the position error in radar cross section (RCS) calibration. In radar RCS measurement system, in order to get the accurate information, the amplitude and phase calibration are very important to remove the error influence. The measurement results are influenced by multipath effect, laboratory background, target position, environmental noise and so on. In this paper, the position error correction is under consideration. Firstly, the method of getting target position is derived. Following this, the phase error caused by it can be got rid of to get more accurate data. Finally, we show the extensive simulation results and experiment results of typical cylinder, which all demonstrate the validity of the method.
