Abstract

A 1-bit beam-steerable reflectarray based on MEMS switch operating at 110GHz is proposed in this paper. The 180° phase difference can be obtained by controlling the working state of MEMS switch in the reflection element, which can change the connection between radiation patch and ground. A 15 x 15 beam- steerable reflectarray is designed based on this element, which can realize beam steering function with the reflection angle of 0°, 20° and 40° at 110GHz. Meanwhile, the maximum reflection gain of this array is 22.3dB and the aperture efficiency can reach 15%.
