Abstract
We demonstrate 58Gbps and 5km-long standard single-mode fiber (G652) data transmission of single-mode 1060nm VCSELs with intra-cavity surface relief. Transverse resonances provide single mode operations for 6μm -oxide apertures and bandwidth enhancements with reduced chirp.
