400G/Channel 50-GHz WDM Coherent Transmission: PS 64QAM Versus Hybrid 32/64QAM

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate PS-64QAM outperforms hybrid-32/64QAM by 37.5% in a 400G per channel 50-GHz WDM system, which enables a 990-km transmission link consisting of SSMF and EDFA-only amplification.
