Abstract

A new double-polarized absorptive frequency-selective transmission structure (AFST) is proposed. It uses the slotted resonator on the metal patch to destroy the mid-frequency response of the broadband absorber, and then realizes the transmission performance through the band-pass frequency-selective surface (FSS). The simulation results show that the insertion loss of the AFST is 0.1dB at 4.26GHz, and the relative impedance bandwidth is 109.9%. The thickness of the AFST is 0.09λL (λL is the wavelength corresponding to 2.47GHz). It achieves polarization insensitivity and remains stable within 40° of obligue incidence angle.
