Abstract

An improved minimum zone circle method was proposed for roundness error evaluation of shaft hole parts. Based on computational geometry, the distance relationship between measuring points was determined, and the solving processes of control points of minimum circumscribed circle and maximum inscribed circle were optimized according to polygon removal rule. Then, the minimum zone was constructed according to the relationship among the control points of the minimum circumscribed circle, the maximum inscribed circle and the minimum zone circle. Finally, the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method were verified by experimental results.
