Abstract
A probe type optical fiber vibration sensor based on Sagnac effect is developed, and the amplitude measurement algorithm is deduced by using the recursive formula of Bessel function. The sensor uses 980nm laser through a wide spectrum light source erbium doped fiber pumped by 1550nm, to obtain the interference signal at the output generated by the optical fiber ring in the Sagnac effect. The sensor is used to measure the vibration source with frequencies from 8.1 kHz to 11.3 kHz, the experimental data are consistent with the simulation analysis. The error of frequency measurement is less than 0.6%, and the discreteness of amplitude measurement data is small.
