Abstract
Orbital maneuver is a typical feature that distinguishes spacecraft orbital dynamics from traditional celestial mechanics. It is also the core capability for human space activities and operations, and is crucial component of engineering practices such as planetary exploration and space debris collision avoidance. In the teaching of orbital dynamics, the orbital maneuver also plays an important role as the foundation for subsequent teaching content such as relative motion and deep-space trajectories. This paper systematically reviews and summarizes the content arrangement, method design, and ideological and political education of teaching of orbit maneuver in the spacecraft orbit dynamics course at Beijing Institute of Technology. It also briefly introduces the preliminary achievements of the teaching team in talent cultivation and MOOC production.
