Abstract
Based on the harmonic superposition method for the numerical reconstruction of road roughness, in consideration of the power spectral density(PSD) and the coherence function between different wheel tracks, a method for constructing road roughness by using an additional harmonic disturbance on the basis of single wheel track harmonic superposition component was proposed. The method ensures that the PSD of the new wheel track coincides well with the standard PSD, and meantime the same coherence function is also held between different wheel tracks. By an extension of the method, a simulation model of 2D road roughness considering wheel track's coherence function was built. The 2D road roughness simulations by virtue of the MATLAB show that the resulted self-PSD of different wheel tracks conforms quite well with the standard PSD, and the coherence function between different wheel tracks is also in good agreement, which verifies that the simulation results of 2D road roughness are of high reliability.
