Abstract
For the defunct satellites with flexible solar panels, a wave based control method is proposed to realize the two objectives of debris attitude stabilization and solar panels vibration suppression during the tethered net towing. Firstly, a new simplified structure of the tethered net is proposed. The dynamic model established by the Kane method can not only ensure operation efficiency but also present high accuracy. Then, according to the characteristics of the system, a wave based control strategy is designed. Only by inputting the magnitude and direction of tether tension, the spin and panel vibration of the defunct satellite can be eliminated by changing the position of the tug. Finally, the effectiveness of the control law is verified by numerical simulations. The simulation results show that the attitude of the defunct satellite can be stabilized quickly, and the vibration of the panels can be suppressed very well.
