Abstract

The evolution of underwater porous bubbly flow near the vehicle wall presents a complex flow pattern, and the experiment is one of the effective means to investigate its flow characteristics. Based on the water tunnel, an experimental method was established to investigate the characteristics of porous bubbly flow near the wall under water. The flow pattern and mixing characteristics of gas-liquid two-phase flow near the wall were observed by using full flow visualization technology and PIV technology. By changing the ventilation, environmental pressure and acceleration/deceleration state of the main stream, the influence of ventilation rate, Euler number, and acceleration/deceleration flow on the structure evolution of gas-liquid twophase flow and the mixing characteristics of bubbly flow was investigated. The research results show that with the increase of ventilation rate and the decrease of Euler number, the bubbly flow transfers from the non-fusion state to the fusion state; the time-averaged bubble area increases with the increase of the ventilation rate and increases with the decrease of the Euler number; the main stream of accelerated flow suppresses the mixing and fusion of bubbly flow, while the main stream of deceleration flow will promote that.
