Abstract

Focusing on the complex thermal/force/chemistry multi-physical field coupling problem of the resin matrix thermal protection and insulation composites under the high-temperature conditions, the high temperature performance prediction models, high temperature response solution methods and high temperature test techniques are discussed. The pyrolysis kinetic models related to the high-temperature response of the resin matrix thermal protection and insulation composites, the characterization method of the high-temperature thermo-physical properties and mechanical properties evolution, the solution methods of the material high-temperature response model, and various high-temperature test methods to characterize the material high-temperature response are introduced in detail. The development of these mentioned methods are also commented. In addition, the future development trends are also prospected. This paper is helpful for the related researchers to understand and develop the thermal response analysis methods of the resin matrix composites at high temperature, and also for engineers and technicians to study the thermal insulation and high temperature bearing performances of this kind of materials.
