Abstract
The Industrial Internet has become the main method to promote the integration of industrial and information in China. It deeply integrates the next generation of information technology and advanced manufacturing technology and manufacturing industry, which is an important basis for the construction of strong manufacturing and network country. Currently, China has vigorously promoted the Industrial Internet, and overall the progress is fast. However, there are still some difficulties when promoting the transformation and upgrading of discrete manufacturing industry. The breadth of the Internet of Things(IoT), the depth of applications, and the value mining of industrial data are still to be strengthened. With regard to this, the origin and status of the Industrial Internet was analyzed firstly, and a reference model was constructed for the transformation and upgrading of discrete manufacturing driven by Industrial Internet. Afterwards, three development stages of Industrial Internet was put forward, which including industrial Internet of Things(IoT), industrial Internet of business and industrial Internet of minds. The technical architecture and application challenges were also illustrated in detail to expect to provide theoretical guidance for the promotion of transformation and upgrading of discrete manufacturing industry based on industrial Internet.
