Abstract

Aiming at the problem that the probe is easy to bounce and tumble in the low-gravity environment on small celestial bodies, the flexible landing mode and the related technologies are discussed. Firstly, the characteristics and the challenges of asteroid landing missions are analyzed. Then, combined with the previous missions, shortcomings of the rigid landing mode and the touch-and-go mode are discussed, and the novel mode called flexible landing is introduced. On this basis, focusing on the flexible landing mode, the progress and difficulties of key technologies are summarized from the aspects of autonomous guidance control and navigation, and the future research directions are forecasted.
