Abstract

The complex streamlined target usually contains multiple sliding scattering centers (SSCs). The position of the SSC changes with the change of the observation orientation. Therefore, the position of the SSC obtained by the existing scattering center modeling method has many limitations, such as radar imaging resolution, overlap of multiple scattering center images, and the accuracy of extracted parameters. This paper proposes a method for modeling the scattering center based on phase characteristics of surface currents. This method is based on the induced currents under the sparse sampling angle calculated by the full-wave method. Through adaptive extraction of the stationary phase point and current partition, parameterized modeling of scattering centers are realized. The adaptive extraction of the stationary phase point can accurately determine the position of the scattering center and the partition can avoid the difficulty in parameter extraction caused by the aliasing of multiple scattering center components, thereby ensuring the modeling accuracy of the scattering center. This paper takes a missile and aircraft model as an example, and verifies the accuracy of the scattering center model with the results of the full-wave method.
