Abstract
Aiming at the vibration suppression of large-scale flexible structures on a flexible spacecraft, a set of distributed V-gimbaled control moment gyros (CMG) in an arbitrary configuration is taken into consideration. The dynamics equations of a large-scale flexible structure with distributed V-gimbaled CMG are established firstly. Then the steering law of the V-gimbaled CMG is designed based on the Lyapunov method, which is improved with consideration of the "dead zone" phenomenon in engineering practice. Finally, numerical examples are presented for a flexible truss with distributed V-gimbaled CMG, to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategies. The results show that designed steering law can achieve better vibration suppression of the truss and improve the performence of vibration suppression.
