Han Xiutao, Ph.D., Professor and doctoral supervisor of Law School of Beijing Institute of Technology, Director of Science, Technology and Human Rights Research Center of Beijing Institute of Technology, National Human Rights Education and Training Base. He served as Deputy general manager of China Legal Services (Hong Kong) Co., LTD., Vice Mayor of Siping City, Jilin Province, director of Legal Aid Center of Ministry of Justice, and Secretary General of All China Lawyers Association. Professor Han Xiutao has studied law systematically, and has studied traditional Chinese legal culture, Huizhou regional legal culture in Ming and Qing dynasties, the modernization of Chinese legal system, and contemporary Chinese judicial reform, judicial administration system, local government governance, and social organization governance. He has published 2 personal academic monographs, such as Judicial Independence and Modern China, Civil Disputes and Their Resolution in Huizhou in Ming and Qing Dynasties, edited and participated in 9 textbooks, such as History of Chinese Legal System and Science of Judicial Administration, and presided over and participated in 12 national Social science major projects, Humanities and Social Science projects of the Ministry of Education, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and legal theory research projects of the Ministry of Justice. He has published more than 90 professional papers with a total of more than 1.5 million words in journals such as Legal Research, Chinese Legal Science, Chinese Culture Research, People's Daily (Theoretical edition), Guangming Daily (Theoretical edition) and Study Times.
