He graduated from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and Renmin University of China with bachelor's, master's and Doctor's degrees in management (Accounting). He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Peking University and has been a senior visiting scholar at University of South Carolina, University of Karlsruhe and National University of Singapore. He has presided over several National Natural Science funds and National Social Science funds.
