Liu Hui, professor, doctoral supervisor, New century outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education, outstanding member of CCF, Secretary-General of CCF Software Engineering Committee. In 2008, he received his PhD from Peking University and joined the School of Computer Science, Beijing Institute of Technology. From 2012 to 2013, he conducted visiting research in UCL, UK. In 2013, he was selected into the New Century Outstanding Talents and Beijing Young Talents Funding Program of the Ministry of Education. His current research focuses on "intelligent software engineering", applying artificial intelligence and big data technology to software engineering research work.
He has presided over/participated in more than 20 national scientific research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund, National Natural Science Foundation Superficial Project, National Natural Science Foundation key project, National Natural Science Foundation major project, National key research and development project, and doctoral foundation of the Ministry of Education. He has published more than 30 papers in Class A top international journals/conferences recommended by IEEE TSE, ACM TOSEM, ICSE, FSE, ASE, ISSTA and other Chinese computer society.
He won the second Prize of Beijing Technical Invention Award, the ESEC/FSE2023 Outstanding Paper Award of CCF Class A International Conference, the ICSE 2022 Outstanding Paper Award of CCF Class A International Conference, the IET Software Premium (Best Paper) Award of CCF Class B journal, and CCF Category B Conference RE 2021 Best Paper Award. He is the standing member and secretary general of the Software Engineering Committee of China Computer Society, and the deputy director of the Institute of Software Intelligence and Software Engineering. He is A member of the ASE, FSE and ISSTA Program Committees of CCF Class A conferences, Associate editor of IET Software of CCF Class B, and guest editor of EMSE and JSS.
It enrolls 1 doctoral student and 2-3 master students each year. Students who are interested in intelligent software development, big data analysis and mining, and artificial intelligence are welcome to join the research group. Most of the graduate students have entered IT enterprises such as Meituan, Ali, Huawei and Baidu, and some graduates have entered universities and research institutes to continue to engage in scientific research. Two master's students supervised by the first author have won the CCF Class A International conference ICSE 2022 Outstanding Paper Award and CCF Class A International Conference ESEC/FSE2023 Outstanding Paper Award.
