Personal profile

Personal profile

Born in October 1956 in Shanghai, a mechanician, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing Institute of Technology and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, former president of Beijing Institute of Technology, and director of the Committee on the Construction of Scientific Morality of the Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Research Interests

Long engaged in the research of aircraft structural dynamics and control, emphasizing the engineering science research that integrates theory, computation, and experiment. During the tenure at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, presided over key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, projects of the National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), etc. Made contributions recognized by domestic and international peers in research fields such as non-linear vibration isolation technology in aircraft, non-linear dynamics of vibration control systems, and wave analysis of non-local elastic structures, and solved the problem of excessive vibration in the development of various aircraft. Since working at Beijing Institute of Technology, presided over major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, projects of the Innovative Research Groups of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. Mainly engaged in research on the deployment dynamics of space structures, on-orbit assembly control of space structures, and active flutter control of aircraft structures, promoting the development of new technologies for aircraft structures.
