Gao Guangyu, male, PhD, Associate professor. He is currently the deputy director of the Institute of Data Science and Knowledge Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology, and was the deputy director assistant (temporary post) of the Economic and Information Commission of Shunyi District, Beijing. At the same time, he served as the secretary of the secretariat of China Engineering Education Professional Certification Association and the professional title review expert of electronic information engineering in Tibet Autonomous Region. His research interests include computer vision, deep learning and multimedia analysis. In 2013, he received his doctoral degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and National University of Singapore (2012-2013, National University of Singapore). In October 2013, he began to work in Beijing Institute of Technology. In 2016, he was an IBM Visiting Scholar and conducted research on big data intelligence in IBM China System Development Center.
In recent years, he has published more than 30 high-level papers in top international journals and academic conferences, published 1 English monograph, and applied for more than 10 national invention patents (4 authorized). Presided over 2 National Natural Science foundation, 1 equipment pre-research fund, 4 collaborative education projects of the Ministry of Education, several projects entrusted by national defense scientific research and enterprises, and participated in 3 key research and development projects as the backbone of the project. He has successively won the IBM Global Excellence Scholar Award in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019, the third prize of the Basic Teaching Skills Competition of Beijing Institute of Technology, the most popular professional course teacher, etc., and has been approved as the graduate excellent course project, and the ideological and political demonstration course of graduate and undergraduate courses. Second place in VisDrone Competition of CCF-A Class ICCV2019 (Honorable Mention) and Nominate Video Award of IEEE UIC2015 Video Competition; As one of the main performers, he won the third prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of China Light Industry Federation in 2017 and the first prize of Electronic Information Technology Progress of China Electronics Society in 2011.
