Zhang Fan, associate professor of the School of Materials, doctoral supervisor, selected as a national high-level young talent program. In response to the demand of high-performance metal structural materials for aerospace and weapon equipment models in China, the research focuses on the design, preparation, deformation mechanism and application of lightweight high-strength alloys and high-entropy alloys under extreme loading conditions (high pressure, high strain rate, high temperature). He has published many papers in Acta Mater and other journals, obtained 10 authorized invention patents, won 2 aerospace Science and technology improvement awards, and presided over scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, a planned Technology Field Fund, the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Impact Materials Technology Fund, and the Overseas Special Researcher Fund of the Japan Academy for the Promotion of Academia.
