Zhang Fa, Ph.D., Professor of Beijing Institute of Technology, Visiting researcher and doctoral supervisor of Institute of Computing Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is currently the Chairman of IEEE Special Committee on Computational Life Sciences (TCCLS) and the Secretary General of the Bioinformatics Special Committee of China Computer Society. Mainly engaged in bioinformatics, multi-modal biomedical data processing and other aspects of research: developed the first domestic cryo-electron microscope 3D reconstruction software -AuTOM, won the world's first prize in the 2021 International 3D Model Retrieval Challenge cryo-electron microscope Biological image classification competition; Developed a series of medical pathological image classification and classification AI processing technology, the relevant research results have been applied in a number of hospitals. As the project leader and main participant, he undertook a number of key research and development projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, major international cooperation projects and special projects. He has published more than 160 papers in international journals such as Cell Research, Natural Communication, Sciences Advances, Briefing in Bioinformatics, and top international conferences such as ICCV, ISMB, MICCAI, etc. Received MICCAI 2022 Best Paper.
